This policy explains how personal data submitted through this website (smartu.hu) is processed, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Hungarian Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information (Infotv.).

The controller operates as a sole proprietor (egyéni vállalkozó). Only the controller (the website owner) has access to data submitted through this website. No employees or subcontractors are involved in processing this data.

2. What Data We Process

2.1 Contact Form

When you submit the contact form on this website, we process:

• name
• email address
• phone number
• description of the task / project (free text)

For spam-prevention purposes, we also log the submission timestamp and the sender's IP address.

Important: submitting the form does not constitute a contractual offer under Hungarian civil law — it is solely an expression of interest / request for contact. A contract is only formed through a separate, explicit agreement.

2.2 Cookies

This website does not use any traffic-measurement (analytics) tool and does not contain any third-party embeds (e.g. a map or other widget). It switches between the Hungarian and English versions via URL paths (/ and /en/) and does not use a cookie for this purpose either. The website may use only strictly necessary, technical cookies (e.g. to protect the contact form against abuse). Under applicable law, such cookies do not require prior consent, as they are essential to providing the service. Beyond this, the website does not use any other cookies or tracking technologies.

4. Data Processors

Web hosting, technical operation of the website and form data — Cyprus (EU)

The website does not use any traffic-measurement tool or any other third-party service that would require data processing. No processor other than the hosting provider above is currently engaged.

The WhatsApp and Viber buttons on the website are plain outbound links: clicking one takes you off this website, after which the privacy practices of Meta Platforms (WhatsApp) or Rakuten Viber apply. The website loads no code from these services and transfers no data to them — they are therefore not processors of the controller.

Personal data is not currently transferred outside the European Union / European Economic Area. If this changes in the future (e.g. an additional processor outside the EU is engaged), this policy will be updated accordingly, and the applicable safeguard (adequacy decision, EU–US Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses) will be stated here.

5. Retention Period

Personal data submitted via the contact form is retained for a maximum of 5 years, reflecting the general limitation period under § 6:22 of Act V of 2013 on the Hungarian Civil Code (Ptk.), to allow for the resolution of any potential dispute arising from the enquiry.

Upon expiry, the data is permanently and irretrievably deleted.

6. Data Security

The controller applies appropriate technical and organizational measures, including:

• form data is transmitted exclusively over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection
• the server-side form-handling component includes protections against unauthorized access, data injection, and abusive (spam) use
• only the controller has access to the data

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• request access to your personal data,
• request rectification of inaccurate data,
• request erasure ("right to be forgotten"),
• request restriction of processing,
• object to processing (where based on legitimate interest),
• request data portability, where applicable.
